In the course “Political Economy and Political Theory – Classical and Modern Theoretical Schools”, a variety of theoretical traditions in the field of classical Political Economy and Political Theory are examined and analysed. From Adam Smith’s “Theory of Moral Sentiments” to the methodological individualism in Fr. Hayek’s economic thought, we will follow the evolution of classical political and economic thought, which appeared as a single field of knowledge, to the modern fragmentation of the disciplines into individual fields of analysis of economic and political action.
